Luxembourg Gardens & Eiffel Tower

We spent much of the day biking around the left bank. The Vélib system is very efficient, allowing us to hop on and off at leisure for an unlimited number of 30-minute trips during the week for a flat 8€. We only had difficulty with our last return as the depot across from our apartment was full of bikes. We were probably charged an extra euro as we had to divert to another nearby station (first, figuring out where it was on the map).

It's been a strange mixed bag of weather today with alternating cycles of dark clouds and accelerating winds, followed by sunny breaks that made the 21C high feel more like 28.

We are resting back at our apartment now before heading out to the champs de mars to get a look at the Bastille day fireworks.
