Vive la France

On our morning run, we encountered the Bastille day military parade, which began with an exciting and colourful flyover. We watched from the Quai d'Orsay at the south end of the pont de la Concorde. You can see the obelisk at the place de la Concorde on the background.

We had tried running along the embankment of the Seine, but cobblestone and runners (high heels, too I suppose) are not friends. So, we ran along the quai and it was very nice, although busy because of the crowds waiting for the parade to start. We ended up joining them and were glad we did.
